We believe every child deserves the chance to thrive. We work across schools and communities to deliver sport, education and creative interventions. Our work includes wraparound care, after school clubs, holiday clubs and specialist programmes such as STARTS for some of the most vulnerable young people.
We currently have vacancies available for both full time (salaried) and part time (hourly rate) basis. Those coaches working on a part time basis, who are successful within their role following positive feedback, will be offered more hours.
Main responsibilities
- Deliver structured and flexible sessions for young people referred to the STARTS programme, either 2:1, 1:1 or in small groups.
- Build strong, trusting relationships with children and young people, often facing complex or challenging circumstances.
- Work collaboratively with schools, families, and external professionals to provide consistent and joined-up support.
- Support transitions into or between educational settings, acting as a bridge and advocate for the young person.
- Provide tailored support to children with ADHD and other behavioural challenges, creating strategies to manage their behaviours and help them develop social, emotional, and cognitive skills.
- Use positive reinforcement, de-escalation techniques, and consistent boundaries to manage challenging behaviours and help children stay engaged in learning and activities.
- Track each child’s progress and work closely with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure that strategies and goals are aligned
- Respond calmly and appropriately in moments of crisis, using approved techniques to ensure the safety and well-being of the child and others.

Desirable
- Experience with children or young people in coaching, education, youth work or care
- Sports coaching or creative activity delivery
- Relevant qualifications in education, sports coaching, youth work or childcare (or willingness to train)
- Experience supporting children with SEND
- Knowledge of trauma informed or therapeutic approaches
- An up-to-date DBS

Interview Process
Stage 1: Successful applicants will be contacted for a screening interview
Stage 2: In person interview with at least two of the AllKidsCan Team. Relevant checks and references will be collected.
Stage 3: Observed trial session at a relevant session
Stage 4: Successful applicants will be provided with a job offer letter and start date agreed.
